Recently we celebrated the auspicious festival of Diwali here in India. As a part of it, we also create Rangolis. It was fun creating Rangoli this Diwali. I am attaching few images to show how I managed creating Rangoli quite “quickly” this year.

1. Took a normal news paper.
2. Saw the image at http://www.handcarvings.net/ganapati.htm
3. Hand painted it. (A printout would have helped a lot! May be I ‘d do that next year ) Took around 20 minutes for me. But a print out would have been in few minutes
4. Cut the design on the News paper
5. Laid down the news paper.
6. Took a normal tea filer.
7. Sprinkled color to the paper.
8. Lifted the paper.
9. At few places the Colors got spilled, but used a normal paint brush to push back spilled color to original design.
10. Rangoli is ready!

Hindu mythology gives utmost importance to Lord Ganesha.

All good work should begin whith His name. We show the same respect to the almighty deity, without whose presence, we would not have been capable of anything.
